Turner’s solicitors provide legal advice to students who seek to bring a complaint to their college or university. Emphasis is put on negotiation to solve problems, and legal advice is given on the complaints procedure, which needs to be followed.
We have successfully represented many students who bring complaints relating to the service provided by their university. These complaints often arise at a critical point in a student’s education when they are about to embark on their career.
We have brought many successful complaints to the Office of Independent Adjudicator. All sorts of problems arise within the University system such as disputes over course work, plagiarism, complaints about staff and PhD supervisors, and exclusion from the University.
We advise students through the internal University complaints procedure and then the Office of Independent Adjudicator (OIA). The OIA is able to issue recommended action which they recommend the University take to remedy problems raised by the student.
If the above complaints procedure cannot appropriately deal with complaints we can offer advice in relation to Breach of Contract, as a contract exists between the University and Student.
